FAQ ABOUT ICF and CUSTOM HOME BUILDING

SHOULD I HAVE YOU LOOK AT MY LOT BEFORE I PURCHASE?
YES. There are a lot of considerations when purchasing a lot to build on. We can help you make an educated assessment and decision.

CAN I HAVE A BRICK, STONE, STUCCO OR WOOD SIDING LOOK TO MY HOUSE OR WILL IT LOOK LIKE A CONCRETE HOUSE?
ICF simply is on the inside of the walls and is the structure of the house, just like wood frame and drywall would be on a traditional wood frame house.  On the exterior, you can have hardiboard plant, stone, stucco, brick or any other material. The rooms can be painted, have paneling, tile or just about any idea you come up with.  On the exterior, your home can look like any other wood frame home.   The difference is on the inside. WHAT IS A REALISTIC BUDGET FOR A CUSTOM HOME?
It all depends on square footages, materials chosen for different areas of the house (flooring, countertops, cabinets, etc.), what is used on the fascia and a host of other details that we can discuss with you at your first consultation.

WHAT DOES SQUARE FOOTAGE PRICE MEAN?
It actually means nothing because the cost depends on what is included - from countertops to type of flooring and so much more.

CAN YOU TAKE ADOPT ANY SET OF PLANS TO CREATE AN ICF HOME?
Yes.  You bring us your ideas and we will work with you to create your dream home.  The plans can certainly be adapted for ICF and truthfully anything you can do in a wood-frame home you can do in an ICF home.

WHAT BRANDS OF ICF BLOCKS DO YOU USE?
We use Logix, Fox Blocks and will build with any block of your choice.
